– The installation alcove must not have a rear
wall.
– Your built-in furniture may need to be mo-
dified. If you do not have the manual skills
to do this, you should hire a professional.
– Veneers or plastic coverings on the built-
in furniture require heat-resistant adhesive
(100 °C). If the adhesive and surfaces are
not heat-resistant, the covering may warp
and come loose.
– An earthed socket must be installed in the
alcove or its immediate vicinity (see the fol-
lowing section, "Connection").
– The appliance should not be placed direc-
tly beside a refrigerator or freezer. Heat
loss unnecessarily increases their energy
consumption.
– There must be a minimum spacing of 2 m
from radio devices, televisions, etc. to ensu-
re that the reception is not distorted.

Depending on the installation recess, the ap-

pliance must be connected before or after in-
stallation.

■ If the mains plug is no longer acces-
sible after installation, an all-pole dis-
connecting device complying with
overvoltage category III must be
connected to the house wiring with a
contact gap of at least 3 mm; consult
a qualifi ed professional if necessary
(see „Service" on page EN-38).
• Please check whether the device's supply
voltage is compatible with the supply vol-
tage used in your house (please see the
type plate).
• Please ensure you only connect the appli-
ance to a professionally installed protective
contact socket with sufficient fuse protecti-
on (230 V~/50 Hz/16 A).
• Do not use multiple plug sockets or exten-
sion cables.
After inserting the mains plug into the socket,
a signal tone will sound and the display (9)
shows 0:00 (see „Clock" on page EN-18).
