The action button disappears from the menu window and the
calibration is reset to factory settings. After performing or removing
the calibration adjustment, you can exit the menu using
performing the calibration adjustment, an exclamation point is added
to the values measured for the adjusted test in the display and also in
the memory.
Incorrect results due to calibration adjustment possible: We
recommend using the calibration specified by MACHEREY-NAGEL
stored in the device and not adjusting it. The calibration adjustment
can be used to meet legal requirements. To perform the adjustment,
we recommend selecting a standard in the upper third of the
measurement range of the test to be adjusted in order to minimize
calibration errors.
13. Quality control
Each institution must implement its own quality control guideline.
To check the performance of the test kit and device used, we
recommend measuring several standard solutions with a known
concentration within the measurement range.
The photometric accuracy of the measurement of the PF-3 can be
checked with the aid of the NANOCONTROL NANOCHECK 2.0 color
solutions (REF 925703) provided by MACHEREY-NAGEL.
14. Memory
The PF-3 has an internal memory for up to 50 measurement results.
The device also stores the date and time of the measurement, in
addition to the measured value. If all of the free memory space is full,
the device overwrites the oldest entry after a new measurement.
No warning is given when the oldest result is overwritten.
14.1 Display memory
In the "Display memory" menu, you will find all stored measured
values. You can select the individual entries using
upper right-hand part of the screen, you will see the number of the
entry in the memory as well as the total number of available entries.
If a value in the memory is shown with an exclamation point, it was
determined using a calibration adjustment of the corresponding test
(see 12.11, page 41).
