8. Setting up and connecting the device

8.1 Scope of delivery*

Check the delivery for completeness. If parts are missing from the
delivery, contact MACHEREY-NAGEL or your distribution partner
directly.

8.2 Connecting the device

Multiple hazards: Only qualified staff may carry out the instructions
described in this section.
Exposure of the eye to light. Do not look directly into the light rays of
the lamps.
Risk of electrical shock: When used for operation, ensure that the
USB cable does not show any signs of damage. Check the suitability
of the voltage source for the device.
Damage due to condensation and violation of the temperature limits:
The device is designed for indoor and outdoor use. Do not expose
the device to direct sunlight. During use outdoors, protect the
interface from exposure to humidity and moisture.
Risk of fire: When using an external power supply, ensure that the
power outlet is not overloaded. There is a risk of overload and fire.
Ensure that the power cable does not show any signs of damage.
Check the suitability of the voltage source used for the device.
Risk of injury: Familiarize yourself with the device before working with
it and read this document carefully. Use the device only if you have
been trained in how to handle it.
