14.2 Transferring data
You can transfer the data from the memory of the PF-3 to a PC. This
option is shown in the memory menu only if the device is actually
connected to a computer. To do this, connect the device to your
computer via the USB interface (see 9.1, page 34).
To transfer the data, you need the free NANOCOLOR
software. This can be downloaded from the MACHEREY-NAGEL
website. All other information can be found in the corresponding
software instructions.
15. User-defined special method creation
In addition to the preprogrammed VISOCOLOR
tests, up to 10 user-defined special methods can be stored in the
device. To create and manage special methods, you need the
NANOCOLOR
which can be downloaded free of change from our website. All other
information can be found in the corresponding software instructions.
15.1 Maintenance and cleaning of the device
The device is to be switched off and disconnected from the power
supply during all cleaning work.
Risk of fire: Do not use any flammable cleaning agents or organic
solvents to clean the device.
Incorrect measurements: A dirty cuvette shaft can lead to soiling of
the cuvettes used and to incorrect results. Check the cleanliness of
the cuvette shaft at regular intervals and during maintenance. Clean
the cuvette shaft if it is soiled (see cleaning).
Discard chemicals, waste, and used cuvettes in accordance with the
national, regional, and local regulations.
Do not clean the device with acetone or similar products.
