TAKING A TEMPERATURE
Remove the cap from the probe to take a temperature, in forehead or ear mode.
1. Forehead temperature measurement
• Remove the cap from the probe.
• Switch to forehead mode (Fig. 1).
• Press the temperature reading «START» button.
• When first used to take a temperature, all the elements on the screen (Fig. 3) are displayed,
followed by «--» (Fig. 4), a beep and «36,8°C» by default (Fig. 5).
• From its second use, all the elements on the screen are displayed (Fig. 3), followed by «--»
(Fig. 4), a beep and the last temperature in the memory.
• Place the probe on the top of the temple.- Press and hold the temperature reading
«START» button for approx. 2 seconds.
• You can release the «START» button and remove the Thermo Color from the temple.
The temperature is displayed as well as a green or red colour depending on the result.
The forehead temperature may be affected by external climatic conditions so, in case of
doubt, do not hesitate to take the ear temperature.
2. Auricular
• Remove the cap from the probe.
• Set the switch to ear mode (Fig. 2).
• Press the temperature reading «START» button.
• When first used to take a temperature, all the elements on the screen (Fig. 3) are displayed,
followed by «--» (Fig. 4), a beep and «36,8°C» by default.
• From its second use, all the elements on the screen are displayed (Fig. 3), followed by «--»
(Fig. 4), a beep and the last temperature in the memory (Fig. 6).
• Insert the probe into the ear.
• Press and hold the temperature reading «START» button.
• When the unit beeps, you can release the «START» button.
• Remove the probe from the ear. The temperature is displayed as well as a green or red
colour depending on the result.
