3 PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The battery-powered lawn aerator can be used to
remove moss and lawn felt on small lawns, e.g.
in front gardens. The flexible spring steel tines at-
tached to the rotating aerator drum clear the lawn
surface without damaging it.
The battery-powered lawn aerator can also be
used to remove weeds in vegetable gardens and
flower beds and to hoe uneven ground.
The appliance may only be used together with
the lithium-ion rechargeable batteries and char-
gers specified in the technical data. See the sep-
arate operating instructions for further information
on rechargeable batteries and chargers:

IMPORTANT! Danger of damage to the ap-
pliance and battery. If the appliance is operated
with unsuitable batteries, both the device and the
batteries may be damaged.

Designated use

This machine is intended for loosening and aerat-
ing (scarifying) lawns in private applications, and
may only be used on dry, short-mown lawns.
Work with the appliance only when it is fully as-
sembled.
This appliance is intended solely for use in non-
commercial applications. Any other use as well
as unauthorised conversions or modifications are
regarded as contrary to the intended use and will
result in voiding of the warranty as well as loss of
conformity; the manufacturer will thus decline any
responsibility for damage and/or injury suffered
by the user or third parties.
3.2

Possible foreseeable misuse

The tool is designed neither for commercial use
in public parks and sports facilities, nor for use in
farming and forestry.
3.3

Safety and protective devices

WARNING! Risk of injury. Defective and
disabled safety and protective devices can result
in serious injury.

3.3.1 Guard plate
The guard plate protects the operator from the ro-
tating aerator drum and objects that are thrown
out.
3.3.2 Two-hand operation
The appliance is intended for two-hand operation
to avoid the risk of injuries to the hands.
3.3.3 Overload protection
If the aerator drum is blocked, the motor will be
overloaded. It therefore cuts out automatically.
1. Switch off the appliance and remove the re-
chargeable battery.
Warning! Remove the battery from the appli-
ance before carrying out any work on the aer-
ator drum.
