The device automatically detects whether

a 6 V or 12 V battery is connected�
If this function does not work
„
(e�g� discharged 12 V battery is identified
as a 6 V battery), then set the selector
switch
or 12 V, depending on the type of battery
or alternator to be tested�
z Battery test/starting capacity
If only the "very low charge" LED is lit
„
up, the charge status of the battery is
low� In this LED status, the electrical volt-
age in 6 Volt operating mode is approx�
5�8 Volt and in 12 Volt operating mode it
is approx� 11�5 Volt� The battery must be
recharged�
If additionally, the "half-charged" LED is
„
lit up, the battery is half charged� In this
LED status, the electrical voltage in 6 Volt
operating mode is approx� 6�1 Volt and
in 12 Volt operating mode it is approx�
12 Volt� We would recommend that the
battery is recharged�
If the "fully charged" LED is also lit up,
„
then the battery is fully charged and has
the capacity to start the vehicle� In this
LED status, the electrical voltage in 6 Volt
operating mode is approx� 6�4 Volt and
in 12 Volt operating mode it is approx�
12�6 Volt�
