Test battery and alternator
Please note:
If in 6 V operating mode,
no LEDs are lit up, then it can
be presumed that the battery
is defective or completely
discharged�
If when you connect a 12 V
battery one of the LED in 6 V
operating mode lights up, then it
can be presumed that the battery
is completely discharged or
defective�
z Alternator test
Connect the device to the battery,
„
as described in the "Operation" section�
Start the engine and switch on all
„
consumers (headlights, radio, heated rear
screen, etc�)�
Increase the idle speed up to 2500 RPM
„
for a short time�
If the "charging function O�K�" LED to the
„
"charging function MAXIMUM" is lit up,
then the alternator or voltage regulator is
in good working order� In this LED status,
the electrical voltage in 6 Volt operating
mode is approx� 6�7 Volt or 7�3 Volt and
in 12 Volt operating mode it is approx�
13�2 Volt or 14�5 Volt�
If the "Overvoltage/controller defect" LED
„
is lit up, then the alternator or voltage
regulator is defective� In this LED status,
the electrical voltage in 6 Volt operating
mode is approx� 7�8 Volt and in 12 Volt
operating mode it is approx� 15�5 Volt�
In this case, contact your vehicle repair
shop�
