CAUTION: Incorrect use and misuse can damage the
bush cutter and cause severe injuries because of pieces
hurled away.
To minimize the risk of accidents by use of the cutting
blade, take note of following points:
• Never cut shrubbery or wood whose diameter is larger
than 1,8 cm.
• Avoid contact with metal bodies, stones, etc.
• Periodically check the cutting blade for damages. Nev-
er continue to use a damaged cutting blade.
• When the cutting blade becomes apparently blunt, it
must be sharpened according to instructions. When
the cutting blade is apparently out of balance, it must
be replaced.

9. Maintenance

INJURY
WARNING!
Before working on the device, disconnect the mains
cable from the socket.
Always wear protective gloves when working on or
around cutting tools.
• Regularly check the device before starting work.
• Check the machine for obvious defects such as correct
assembly and faultless covers and protective devices.
• Keep handles dry and free of oils and grease.
• Damaged blades have to be repaired or replaced by
an authorised service department before you can work
with the device.
• Clean the blades with a soft brush after working with
the device and spray a thin layer of liquid protective oil
on the whole blade.
• Always keep the ventilation holes in the motor casing
free and clean.
• Never use water to clean or spray the device. Clean
the motor casing with a damp cloth and never use de-
tergents or solvents! This may damage the device's
plastic parts. Dry the motor casing carefully afterwards.
• Always store the machine with the supplied protective
cover.
• Only use OEM parts for maintenance work. Using parts
other than original parts can cause damage to the machine.
Use environmentally friendly oil, never use any
grease!
The user is responsible for all damages caused by non-
compliance with instructions in this manual. This also ap-
plies to non-authorized modifications of the tool, use of
non-authorized spare parts, accessories, working tools,
unrelated and not intended use, secondary damages
due to use of faulty components.
Service information
Please note that the following parts of this product are
subject to normal or natural wear and that the following
parts are therefore also required for use as consuma-
bles. Wear parts*: Carbon brush, Cutting blade

10. Storage

Storage
• Disconnect the hedge trimmer from the electricity sup-
ply when it is not being used.
• Oil the blades to prevent rust
• Store the device in a dry place beyond the reach of
children.
• When the device is not being used, store it so it cannot
be started by unauthorised persons.
WARNING!
Do not store the device without protection outside or
in a damp environment.

11. Disposal and recycling

The equipment is supplied in packaging to prevent it
from being damaged in transit. The raw materials in
this packaging can be reused or recycled. The equip-
ment and its accessories are made of various types of
material, such as metal and plastic. Defective compo-
nents must be disposed of as special waste. Ask your
dealer or your local council.
Old devices must not be disposed of with house-
hold waste!
This symbol indicates that this product must not
be disposed of together with domestic waste in
compliance with the Directive (2012/19/EU) per-
taining to waste electrical and electronic equip-
ment (WEEE). This product must be disposed of at a
designated collection point. This can occur, for exam-
ple, by handing it in at an authorised collecting point for
the recycling of waste electrical and electronic equip-
ment. Improper handling of waste equipment may have
negative consequences for the environment and human
health due to potentially hazardous substances that are
often contained in electrical and electronic equipment.
By properly disposing of this product, you
are also contributing to the effective use of natural re-
sources. You can obtain information on collection points
for waste equipment from your municipal administration,
public waste disposal authority, an authorised body for
the disposal of waste electrical and electronic equip-
ment or your waste disposal company
