h) In case of damage and improper use
of the battery, vapours may be emitted.
Provide for fresh air and seek medical help in
case of complaints. The vapours can irritate the
respiratory system.
i) When the battery is defective, liquid can
escape and come into contact with adjacent
components. Check any parts concerned. Clean
such parts or replace them, if required.
j) Use the battery only in conjunction with
the machine. This measure alone protects the
battery against dangerous overload.
k) Use only original batteries with the voltage
listed on the nameplate of your machine.
When using other batteries, e.g. imitations,
reconditioned batteries or other brands, there
is danger of injury as well as property damage
through exploding batteries.
l) Store the battery only within a temperature
range between –4°F (–20°C) and +104°F
(+40°C). As an example, do not leave the battery
in your car in Summer.
6) Service
a) Have your power tool serviced by a
replacement parts. This will ensure that the
safety of the power tool is maintained.

plate of the battery charger. Be sure to connect
the battery charger to a power supply with

14. The charger is ventilated through slots in the
top and the bottom of the housing. Do not place
any object on top of charger or on a surface that
might block the ventilation slots and result in
excessive internal heat. Keep the charger clean.
15. Do not disassemble charger. Take it to
authorized service center when service or repair
is required. Incorrect reassemble may result in a
