If the set value is exceeded for an extended period by the current being measured, heating can
occur that can impair the operating and functional safety of internal circuits.
To prevent discharges and/or incorrect measured values, do not perform current measurements
on high-voltage cables (> 600 V).
AC current measurement
Make sure that the test leads are disconnected from the measurement sockets.
Set the function switch to band A~. Ensure that you have selected a suitable measurement
range. Clasp one of the conductors to be measured with the clamp jaw from the current
transformer. Make sure that the clamp is fully closed.
Read off the measured value.
AC/DC voltage measurement
The maximum input voltage in the V AC/DC range is 600 V AC/DC. To prevent dangers from
electric shocks and/or damage to the instrument, never perform measurements of voltages over
600 V AC/DC.
Set the function switch to the "V" band.
Press the "FUNC" button to select AC/DC.
Insert the black and red test leads into the COM or INPUT inputs.
Apply the test leads to the circuit to be measured and read off the value.
Resistance/continuity/diode measurement
Before carrying out a resistance measurement, make sure that the circuit to be measured is not
live and that all capacitors have been discharged.
Set the function switch to the "Ω/
" band.
Press the "FUNC" button to switch between measuring the resistance, continuity and diode.
Insert the black and red test leads into the COM or INPUT inputs.
Apply the test leads to the circuit to be measured and read off the value.
Please note: The continuity test is used to locate short circuits or open circuits.
Capacitance measurement
Set the function switch to the "
" band.
Insert the black and red test leads into the COM or INPUT inputs.
Apply the test leads to the circuit to be measured and read off the value.
