After use
Removing the apparatus
1.
Switch off the positive pressure and remove the face mask.
2.
Close the cylinder valve.
3.
Unfasten the waist belt buckle and loosen the shoulder straps.
4.
Remove the apparatus and activate the positive pressure to purge air from
the system.
Cleaning and disinfecting
The reliability and correct functioning of your equipment depends on the care it
receives.
1.
Rinse the BC thoroughly with fresh water after each use.
2.
Rinse the inside of the bladder by holding the exhaust button on the
inflator system open and allowing fresh water to partially fill the bladder.
"Slosh" the water around to dissolve any salt crystals (salt crystals can
damage the bladder over time). Drain the bladder completely and repeat.
3.
Hang the BC and drain any residual water through the inflator hose. Allow
it to dry while partially inflated.
4.
Store the BC partially inflated in a cool dry place.
Service and testing
Service and testing must as a minimum be carried out according to Interspiro's
Service and Testing Schedule with document number 30500, or according to
local requirements.
Transport and storage
Equipment must be stored during transport so that neither the equipment nor
people can be harmed. Gas cylinders must have protective plugs mounted
during transport.
The equipment must be stored in a well ventilated, dry, dust-free environment.
The equipment must also be protected against direct sunlight, UV radiation and
direct heat. All storage requires that the equipment is completely dry.
