■ Never pull the mains cord
out beyond the red marker.
Pulling the cord out further
can damage the cable reel.

1. Pull the mains cord out by the
mains plug (11) until the yellow
marking is visible on the mains
cord.
If the red marking is visible, the
mains cord has been pulled
out too far. Allow the mains
cord to retract slightly (see sec-
tion „Finishing vacuuming" on
page EN-18).
2. Connect the mains plug to a
properly installed socket.

3. Use your foot to press the on/
off foot switch (3) to switch the
appliance on.
4. To vacuum, push and pull the
nozzle across the surface you
are vacuuming.
Rotate the telescopic tube han-
dle (13) slightly to reach corners
more effectively. This positions
the nozzle diagonally.
In rare cases this can make
a whistling noise initially.
This is not a malfunction
and stops after a while.
