Switching on the machine an external exhausting system is started to eliminate the
solvent fumes and producing, at the same time, a depression at the machine openings
to prevent the fumes spreading out in the working room.
On the front there are the control panel for the exposure-drying unit and the control
panel for the washout unit. It is possible to start both sections together or separately.
This way the exhauster can also work if the machine is off.
When switching on, the computer provides the following controls and operations:
1) Level control in the tank TK1 to recover solvent. A visual and acoustic alarm informs
if the the maximum level in TK1 has been reached. All functions are stopped.
2) Level control in the new solvent tank TK2. A visual and acoustic alarm informs when
reaching the reserve supply. When empty along with the warning signal all functions
are stopped.
3) The level sensor L2 controls the quantity of solvent in the tank T1:
- if not enough, the solenoid valve EL2 opens and the pump P2 starts pouring new
solvent from the tank TK2 until the optimum level is reached;
- in case of excess of solvent the solenoid valve EL1 opens and pump P1 starts
unloading the ecceeding solvent into tank TK1.
4) Water level control in tank T2.
5) Solvent temperature control (sensor C1):
- if lower than set it starts the RH heater;
- if higher, it starts the RG cooler.
6) % solid contents control:
- if the level of solid contents is higher than set, a set quantity of used solvent is
automatically unloaded while the same quantity of new solvent is loaded. The above
will be repeated until getting a value less than 0,1% of the one set.
7) 20 secs. washout of the drying brush G:
- the cylindrical brush is automatically started, the solenoid valve EL4 opens and the
pump P2 sprays new solvent on the brush.
After the above controls the washout is in stand-by, ready to be used.
Other functions:
- The function of motor M3, sensors S4 and S5 and of the ENCODER K, is to set the
washout brushes at a set distance from the plate-holder (plate thickness).
- Motor M1 starts the plate transport at the set speed.
- When the plate holding bar touches the sensor S3 the washout starts: the brushes
start moving (motor M2) and the pump P3 sprays the solvent.
- The rollers CX-CY and CZ limit the solvent spread out.
