The gas supply to the appliance must be interlocked
directly with the forced exhaust system and must
automatically shut off if the exhaust rate drops below
the standard prescribed values
The interrupted gas supply to the appliance can only
be restarted manually
Be careful with the material of the filter in the hood, as
the temperature of the exhaust gases can reach
300°.

5.5.2 - Exhaust gas system for type "A" appliances

(GB + IE)
Type "A" gas appliances must discharge the combustion
fumes in suitable exhaust hoods, or in similar devices
connected to an efficient flue, or directly into the
atmosphere.
As an alternative to this, an exhaust fan connected
directly to the outside can be used; this fan must have a
rated flow capacity not less than the values prescribed
by the installation standards.

6 - STARTING PROCEDURE

To ignite the burners, see chapter "II OPERATING
INSTRUCTIONS".
WARNING!
Before igniting the burners, check that the tank is
filled with water up to maximum level (see chap. II,
par. 3).

6.1 - CHECKING THE GAS SUPPLY PRESSURE

(Fig. 6)
• The supply pressure can be measured with a "U"
pressure gauge or with an electronic gauge with a
minimum resolution of 0,1 mbar.
• Loosen the screw "1" on the pressure intake "2".
• Position the pressure gauge.
• At the end of the operation, reassemble and check for
any leaks.
• A fine operazione rimontare e controllare la tenuta.
If the gas supply pressure is outside the required range
(see table 4), it will not be possible to properly operate
the appliance. In this case, contact the gas utility
company.

6.2 - ADJUSTING THE PRIMARY AIR

• The primary air has a fixed setting and therefore does
not require any adjustment.

6.3 - ADJUSTING THE PILOT BURNER

• Check that the flame wraps itself around the
thermocouple and has a correct appearance. If this is
not the case, check that the correct gas injector has
been installed (see Table 3).

6.4 - ADAPTATION TO DIFFERENT TYPES OF GAS

To operate the appliance with a different type of gas, for
example to switch from natural to liquid gas, it is
necessary to change the injectors on the main burners,
on the pilot burner and the minimum by-pass (see Table
3). All the injectors necessary for the adjustment are
contained in a bag supplied with the appliance.
N.B.: After adapting the appliance to a different type
of gas, apply over the space on the data plate
showing the previous gas type the correct adhesive
strip (contained with the injectors) which identifies
the new type of gas.
6.4.1 - Changing the main burner injectors (Fig. 8)
• Operating from the lower part of the pan, unscrew the
injectors "1" and replace them with the proper ones
for the type of gas chosen, as indicated in the table.
The diameter of the injector is shown in hundredths of
mm on the injector itself.
• Screw the new injectors in place.
6.4.2 - Changing the pilot burner injector (Fig. 9)
• Loosen the screw "4" of the gas line.
• Remove the injector "5" and replace it with the
appropriate one.
The number which identifies the injector is shown on
the injector itself.
• Tighten the screw "4".

6.4.3 - Changing the minimum by-pass injector

(Fig. 7)
• Remove the control panel by loosening the relative
screws, and leave it hanging.
• Loosen the minimum injector "1" from the gas valve
and replace it with the suitable one for the chosen
gas, then tighten it fully.
The diameter of the injector is shown in hundredths of
mm on the injector itself
N.B.: After having changed any pieces on the gas
line, always check for leaks with a foaming spray.

7 - CHECKING THE OPERATION

• Switch on the appliance according to operating
instructions.
• Check the appliance for possible gas leaks.
• Check the ignition and stability of the flame at both
maximum and minimum settings.
• Check the efficiency of the exhaust system.
• Check the lid balancing mechanism.
• Train the user on the operation and maintenance of
the appliance, with the use of the instruction booklet,
stressing on him the importance of a proper operation
of the unit.

8 - MAINTENANCE

All the components which require maintenance can be
reached from the front of the appliance, after removing
the control panel or the lower panel.
8.1 -
SOME MALFUNCTIONS AND THEIR
SOLUTIONS
The pilot burner does not ignite
Possible causes:
• Ignition plug badly fastened or improperly connected.
• Damaged piezoelectric ignition or spark-plug cable.
