Before using the appliance, make sure the screws or other
parts are not loosened and cutting tools do not show any
cracks or signs of wear. Replace all damaged parts before
using the appliance.
Knives
At regular intervals, you or a customer service should check
tightening of knives and supporting screws of the engine.
Regrinding and adjusting the clearance of knives must be
provided by professional staff using special tools. For safety
reasons, these works must always be executed by an
authorised service centre. The same applies for the
replacement of knives.
The bar mower knives are sharp and may cause
cutting injuries. It is therefore necessary to take
appropriate safety preventive measures and wear
protective gloves when working near knives. Provide the
knives with a specified cover after using them (pic. 3 pos.

Lubrication of knives
Lubricating the knives every hour of use with appropriate
lubricant is recommended. The oil must be applied between
the cutting tools (moving and fixed ones) and adjustment
springs (pic. 1 pos. V).
Reduction gear lubrication
Oil level on the reduction gear closure should regularly be
checked. Add oil if necessary. Change oil every 50 operating
hours. Drain the used oil by the drain plug. Use SAE 40 oil or
gearbox oil.
Used oil must be disposed in accordance with
regulations valid in the country of the bar mower
operator. Never pour the used oil out in the drainage
system.
Lubricating the cutter bar spigot with grease
At regular intervals (every 10 operating hours), remove cutter
bar spigots and lubricate them with grease to ensure smooth
moving (forward/backward) of the bar. Or you can also use
the existing grease box on the spigot holder (pic. 31)
Setting the knife and wheel drive cable controller (pic. 1
pos. C a D)
Adjustment and inspection must be provided by

inaccessible to children.
Drain the fuel tank before transport.
Fit the specified cover on the cutter bar before
transport and storing (pic. 3 pos. 5).
Never store the bar mower with a full fuel tank in
closed spaces. Petrol vapours may get near open
fire or source of sparks.
Wait until the engine fully cools down and then
store the bar mower to a lockable place.
