Behaviour in case of emergency
Provide necessary first aid treatment corresponding to the
injury nature and seek qualified medical help as soon as
possible. Protect the injured person from other injuries and
calm him/her down.
Use as designated
The appliance has been designed for common use in
agriculture, forestry, gardening and green care. The producer
cannot be held liable for damages if any provision of the
generally valid regulations and these Operating Instructions is
not adhered to.
Never work on too steep slopes (max. 30°)
On slopes, always work from left to the right,
never up and down. Be particularly careful when
changing direction.
Pay attention to conditions of environment where
you are working.
Disposal
The disposal instructions are based on icons placed on the
appliance or its package. The description of the meanings can
be found in the "Marking on appliance" chapter.
Operating staff requirements
The operator must carefully read the Operating Instructions
before using the appliance.
Qualification
No special qualification is necessary for using the appliance
apart from detailed instruction by an expert.
Minimum age
The appliance can only be operated by persons over 18 years
of age that have been familiarised with its operation and
working. Young people between 16 and 18 years of age can
only work with the appliance under adult supervision. An
exception includes youngsters operating the appliance within
their professional education to achieve necessary skills under
trainer's supervision.
Training
Using the appliance requires only corresponding instruction
by a professional or reading the Operating Instructions. No
special training necessary.

Transport and storing
The appliance may only be transported with the engine
being switched off.
Clean the appliance properly before storing.
Keep the appliance in a clean and dry place.
Fuel or oil may leak when transporting the appliance.
Secure the appliance in a corresponding manner and take
preventive measures against environment pollution.
Assembly (pic. 2-14)
The bar mower is supplied partially disassembled, see pic. 2.
Individual appliance components can be seen in pic. 3:
1. Appliance body

4. Springs for fixing the cutter bar to the appliance body
5. Knife cover
Guide rod assembly
Loosen the wing grips for guide rod locking – see pic. 4.
Turn the guide rod and put it to the desired height (pic.
5). At doing so, make sure the driving cable does not
break or get nipped.
Lock the guide rod by tightening both wing grips (pic. 6)
The guide rod handle height above the ground must
match the operator's height (pic. 7).
Cutter bar assembly
Loosen and remove the egg-shaped handle and locking
nut of the belt guard (pic. 6 pos. 1-2). Remove the
guard.
The appliance now looks like in pic. 9.
Hang both springs for cutter bar fixing as shown in pic.
10.
Insert the pin (of the cutter bar) to the full extent in the
given place on the appliance (pic. 11).
Hang both springs on the given grips of the aluminium
body (pic. 12).
Fit the belt correctly on the drive disk of the cutter bar
(pic. 13). Make sure the belt passes through both guide
pins (see the arrows in pic. 13).
Fit the cover again and secure it by the egg-shaped
handle and locking nut (pic. 14 pos. 1-2).
Retention hook for the drive cable
For models with the retention hook (pic. 15 pos. 1)
Hang the drive cable to the retention hook to
prevent failures caused by engine adjustment lever
that is too close.
Safety instructions for first starting up
Screwing must always be tightened properly and components
specified in the appliance description must exclusively be
used.
Risk of explosion!
Refuelling only to take place outdoors!
Never refuel when the engine is running or hot!
Do not smoke when refuelling and do not refuel near
open fire.
