7 .6 External power supply

In order to ensure a stable power supply (>20.6 V) even at the last station in large systems
with several networked HOLDX process locks and long cable lengths, it may be necessary
to add an external power supply. This depends on the total number of participants and the
cable lengths used. Various examples are given in Tables 3 and 4.
An exact calculation, when on an external power supply is needed, can be carried out
with the software "HOLDX-Manager". You can find the software on the Internet at www.
safety-products.de.
For most applications, it is sufficient to add an external power supply from the 5th – par-
ticipant upwards.
