5 .5 Serial inputs (function inputs)

The individual control of the locking function is performed via serial inputs Serial IN Pin 5
(X1) and Pin 6 (X1) from the superordinate control unit. It is possible to control all process
locks simultaneously or each process lock individually.
Attention
Possible danger of crushing must be taken into account in the risk assessment.
If required, the function that the door is closed, before the magnet builds up its magnetic
field can be set with a functional module in the standard PLC.
Software function blocks (Software Gateway) for various PLC systems are available under
www.safety products.de.
Activation or deactivation of the Bluetooth interface on the HOLDX master is done via the
serial input. For extended diagnostic functions via the Bluetooth interface, the time and
date for error log of the HOLDX can be transmitted via the serial inputs to the process lock.
For optimal communication to the standard PLC, the speed (baud rate) of the serial inputs
can be adjusted. The adjustment of the response times is done via the integrated Bluetooth
interface and the "HOLDX-Manager" software.

5 .6 Bluetooth interface (HOLDX master)

The built-in Bluetooth interface of the master unit is used to connect to the "HOLDX Manager"
software. The Bluetooth interface in the HOLDX process lock is activated or deactivated via
the serial input Serial IN Pin 5 (X1) and Pin 6 (X1). The Bluetooth interface is not mandatory
for the operation of the HOLDX.
The following settings or information are transmitted via the Bluetooth interface to the
"HOLDX-Manager" software:
• current diagnostic information
• states of the HOLDX process locks
• individual configurations
• adjustment of the speed (baud rate) of the serial input and output
