Audio settings
Audio DRC
• Default setting: Off
When watching Dolby Digital DVDs at low volume, it's easy
to lose the low level sounds completely—including some of
the dialog. Switching on Audio DRC (Dynamic Range
Control) can help things by bringing up the low level sounds,
while keeping the lid on high level peaks.
The Off setting leaves the original dynamics intact; On
'squashes' the dynamics; but exactly how much difference
you can hear between the settings will depend on the
material you're watching.

Remember
• Audio DRC is only effective with Dolby Digital audio
sources.
• The effect of Audio DRC depends on your speakers and
AV amplifier settings.
Dolby Digital Out
• Default: Dolby Digital
You only need to make this setting if you connected this system to
another component (AV amplifier, etc.) using one of the digital
outputs.
If your AV amplifier (or other connected component) is
Dolby Digital compatible, set to Dolby Digital, otherwise set
to Dolby Digital 3 PCM.

DRC audio
• Réglage par défaut : Off
Lorsque vous visionnez des DVD Dolby Digital à faible
volume, vous risquez de perdre complètement les sons de
faible niveau—y compris une partie des dialogues. La
commutation du réglage Audio DRC (Dynamic Range
Control) peut améliorer les conditions d'écoute en
augmentant les sons de faible niveau tout en limitant les
crêtes de haut niveau.
La position de réglage Off laisse la dynamique originale
intacte; On 'comprime' la dynamique; mais la différence
réellement perceptible entre les réglages dépend du
programme que vous êtes en train de visionner.

• Audio DRC est uniquement opérant avec les sources audio
Dolby Digital.
• L'effet DRC audio dépend de vos haut-parleurs et des
réglages de votre amplificateur AV.

Vous ne devez effectuer ce réglage que si vous avez raccordé ce
système à un autre composant (amplificateur AV, etc.) via l'une
des sorties numériques.
Si votre amplificateur AV (ou tout autre composant
connecté) est compatible avec Dolby Digital, réglez-le sur
Dolby Digital, sinon réglez-le sur Dolby Digital 3 PCM.
