7.0 Inspection

CAUTION
Prior to each use of the product, check the radiation protection glasses and/or visor
for any visible damage. Do not use damaged radiation protection glasses and visors!
Check your radiation protection glasses or visors at regular intervals. Immediately repair or replace
the radiation protection glasses or visors if you find scratches, breakages or other defects.
Please contact us if you suspect a defect (see Chapter 5.6) of the product.
8.0 Cleaning & Disinfection
Lacking hygiene can lead to infections of patients, users, or third parties.
NOTE:
Therefore clean and disinfect according to the applicable statutory provisions.
The radiation protection glasses and visors cannot be sterilised.

Cleaning

WARNING – Damage to the Product
In order to avoid damage to the product, no aggressive, abrasive or corrosive agents
should be used (e.g. solvents, acetates, scouring agents, chlorine, etc.).
To wipe
all surfaces
excluding the pads of visors BRV500/BRV501:
• Use cloths that are soft and free from any particles and traces of products from previous
cleaning processes.
• Only slightly moisten the cloth. If necessary, use a mild soap solution or commercially
available detergent.
• Then dry the cleaned areas with a microfibre cloth.
The following labels apply to the BRV500/BRV501 pads:

Fresh stains can usually be removed from the pads with soapy water at a temperature of approx. 20°C
and a soft cloth. For persistent stains, we recommend a 10% solution of sodium thiosulphate in water.
For fluids which contain protein (such as blood), use cold water for cleaning. Please make sure that
the cloth is slightly damp and not wet.
