7.0 Inspection

CAUTION
Prior to each use of the product, check for visible damage.
Do not use a damaged product!
To ensure the radiation protection still provides complete protection, it should be checked regularly,
at least once every 3 months. Tears, clearly visible kinks, protrusions, and uneven areas are all
indications of a defect.
We recommend that the radiation protective clothing is inspected in the style of the standard
DIN 6857-2:2021. This involves a fluoroscopic examination with X-rays at regular intervals,
in addition to regular visual and tactile tests.

8.0 Cleaning

Lacking hygiene can lead to infections of patients, operators/users, or third parties.
NOTE:
Therefore clean and disinfect according to the applicable statutory provisions.

8.1 Cleaning
WARNING – Damage the Product
In order to avoid damage to the product, no aggressive, abrasive or corrosive agents
should be used (e.g. diluent, acetone, scouring agents).
RP270, RP271, RP274, RP276 (set size G), RP643, RP648, RP664, RP668, RP679, RP689, RD614,
RD635, RD642, RD644, ST-FS, ST-RZ, ST-ER:
Fresh stains can usually be removed from the radiation protective clothing with soapy water of
approx. 20°C and a soft cloth. For stubborn stains, we recommend a 10% solution of sodium
thiosulphate in water. For fluids containing proteins (such as blood), use cold water. Please make
sure that the cloth is damp and not wet.
RP278, RP276 (sizes E and K), RP280:
Remove light stains with lukewarm soapy water and a soft cloth. For stubborn stains, remove spots
with a linen cloth dipped in alcohol and rinse with clear water.
