Select [Video Output] and press ENTER or
the [Video Out] submenu.
A. Press ENTER to confi rm.
B. Press SETUP to leave the setup menu.
Note: The composite video and S-video output are
always available.
[S-Video]: Select S-video if you have connected the
DVD player to the television set via the composite
output.
[YUV]: Select YUV if the DVD player is connected to
the television set via the YUV output.
[RGB]- Select this if the DVD player is connected via
the RGB output.
[Y Pb Pr]: Select this if the DVD player is used with
progressive scan..
Note: If you have selected the menu item YPbPr and
your device does not have progressive scan, you will
only see a blank screen. In order to alter this setting,
please read the section "No Picture" under "Troubles-
hooting".

Audio Setup

With the help of the audio menu you can set the ana-
logue and digital audio outputs according to the auxiliary
devices connected to the player. If you have connected
the player to the television set via a stereo audio socket
for example, you should set Dolby Digital and other
settings to 2-channel in order to obtain optimum stereo
sound.
-
You can set the audio format for each of the follo-
wing sources: Dolby Digital, MP3, CD and others.
-
DVD playback must be stopped to carry out the
audio settings.
Attach the digital output:
PCM (default) Digital two-channel output for optical/
coaxial digital audio outputs; e.g. to a MiniDisc decoder.
BITSTREAM (RAW) For a digital 5.1 channel output in
Bitstream form for optical/coaxial digital audio outputs;
e.g. to an external amplifi er with a Dolby Digital decoder.
Off: The Dolby Digital decoder is disabled.
Press SETUP to store and exit.
PCM stands for Pulse Code Modulation and is
the standard two-channel stereo format used for
audio CDs.
