How do I switch the bike on and off ?
You turn the system on and off with the -button on
the display.
What about the weight of a bicycle with a Powerfl ex
system, is it not too heavy?
It is evident that a Powerfl ex bicycle is heavier than an
ordinary bicycle without pedal support. The Powerfl ex
motor is heavier than an ordinary wheel hub on an
ordinary bicycle. An ordinary bicycle does not have
a battery either.
On average, a Powerfl ex bicycle is lighter than other
bicycles with electric pedal support. When you transport
your Powerfl ex bicycle (on a rack on the car for example),
you can reduce the weight by removing the Powerfl ex
battery from the carrier.
Do I get on the bicycle as if it were an ordinary bike?
You get on just as you do on an ordinary bicycle.

Can I keep my foot on the pedal when I stand still(at traffi c
lights for example)?
You can keep your foot on the pedal, because the
Powerfl ex control system does not respond when you're
standing still.
Can I cycle in the rain or leave the bike outside?
The Powerfl ex bicycle complies with the EPAC EN 15194
standard for bicycles with electric pedal support, and
protection against water/rain is part of this standard.

How do I control the pedal support?
Using the buttons +/- you can set 15 or 30 (depending
on the display type) levels of assistance on the display.
The variability of the assistance setup makes it easy to
co-ordinate you speed with your colleague.
Is pedalling not too heavy when the battery is empty or the
support switched off ?
No, the Powerfl ex motor has a freewheel facility, which
means that riding without support feels just like riding
an ordinary bicycle.
