SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
A battery is a consumable, which means that the
capacity will deteriorate after a period of time. The
Powerfl ex technology guarantees that the battery
module retains 80 % of its original capacity after 500
charging cycles, or 5 years. Thus, you ride on average
20,000 km within the lifetime of one battery module.
•
Read this manual for your Powerfl ex bicycle carefully
and follow the instructions with care.
•
An e-bike rides generally faster than you may be
used to with a common bicycle. In a shorter time you
achieve a higher speed and thus, also the stopping
distance will be extended, compared to a common
bicycle. Keep in mind that the roller brakes/drum
brakes must not be exposed to overheat conditions
(e. g. during long downhill rides). Overheating may
reduce the braking eff ect. Risk of serious accidents!
Always follow recommendations of the braking
system manufacturer. Please adjust your driving style
and start training on quiet roads.

•
You cannot transport a passenger on the luggage
carrier of an electric bike. You can carry a child if you
use a suitable rear seat. Your Powerfl ex dealer can
advise you.
•
Never disassemble a part of the motor, battery
or charger yourself. Repairing any faults must be
left to your Powerfl ex dealer who is trained and
specialised in maintaining your Powerfl ex bike.
•
Only use an original supplied charger to charge
the battery. The guarantee on the Powerfl ex battery
becomes void if it is opened or if the original
Powerfl ex battery charger is not used. Wrong use
can damage the battery and may cause hazardous
situations.
•
Prevent exposure of the battery and the charger
to high temperatures and excessive humidity.
Note:
Failing to comply with the above-mentioned safety
instructions may cause dangerous situations.
