When cooking wafers, ignore the indicator light as it is not

calibrated for wafers. The light was calibrated for a waffle batter.
Depending on the recipes used, the cooking time may not be quite
the same. In this case, check whether your wafers are cooked
enough by opening the appliance. If your wafers are cooked,
remove them from the appliance and proceed with the next batch
without taking notice of the green light.
If your wafer appears to be stuck to both plates, do not open
*
the lid any further; if you hold it in its current position for a few
moments, the wafer should come away from the top plate under
its own weight. If not, introduce a spatula and carefully tease it
away from the plate.
Wafers are soft at first, but will harden very quickly.

If you want to roll it up, use a dowel stick directly on the cooking
plate. To roll up the wafers, place the dowel on a wafer, lift up one
edge of the wafer, roll it up quickly and then remove the dowel.
You may roll them into cones and either eat as is or fill with ice
*
cream, or fold them into triangles, halves or quarters.
We remind you that, unlike waffles, wafers are served when fully
*
cooled down. They can be stored for several days in a biscuit tin.
