Congratulations on your purchase of a
Zapf Creation AG product. Our dolls are
made from high-quality materials to strict
standards of quality.
A high-performance speech mechanism is
integrated into the doll's back.
The batteries required (3 x LR6(AA)) are not
included and have to be inserted before
the doll works. To do this, open the speech
mechanism (located in the doll's back) using
a screwdriver (Fig.1), inserting the correct
batteries (Fig.2).
Now screw the cover tightly back on. The
doll will now be fully functional. To switch
the speech and sounds functions on, set
speech mechanism switch to "ON". Please
do not push the contact located in the
mouth inwards.
Rock-a-bye CHOU CHOU now begins to
laugh and babble. When laying her down
she becomes tired and begins to yawn
with open eyes. Rocking her back and forth
several times when horizontal makes her
eyes close and she falls asleep. Now she
breathes evenly. If she is not rocked to
sleep, her eyes will close on their own after
approx. 2 minutes.
Rock-a-bye CHOU CHOU wakes up once
more when she is picked up. She now either
babbles happily or she cries and can be
comforted by gently patting her back. She
always loves her dummy or her bottle and
sucks contentedly. Afterwards she resumes
what she was doing.
If the doll is no longer played with, the
speech mechanism will automatically
switch off after 3 minutes. If she is fed, given
her dummy or if the switch is first set to OFF
and then to ON, Rock-a-bye CHOU CHOU
becomes wide awake once more. The doll
resumes her functions if she is either fed, gi-
ven her dummy, rocked back and forth or if
the switch is first set to OFF and then to ON.
Switching to OFF terminates all functions.
If functions should be impaired, please
switch doll OFF, remove batteries, reinsert
and switch ON again. Should the doll at any
point no longer babble or make noises or
move her eyes, then the batteries are most
probably flat and need replacing (see Fig.
1-3).
