Warnings and safety instructions: The venous tourniquet should be kept out of the reach of
persons who do not have medical qualifications, patients with limited understanding (for exam-
ple, dementia, intoxication) and children. Danger of suffocation!
The tourniquet should not be used near the neck or on the neck. This is due to the deadly danger
of suffocation and should be avoided under any circumstances.
When using the venous tourniquet, check the duration and effect of compression pressure. Spe-
cial attention should be paid to any local damage to the skin around the compression area, as well
as to the skin color and temperature further from this area.
Open the latch as soon as possible after performing out the desired medical manipulation (for
example, taking blood) by pressing the release button.
Any improper load on the venous tourniquet, for example, stepping on it, should be avoided.
If the tourniquet is damaged, it is no longer suitable for clinical use. The use of partially damaged
tourniquets can lead to injury to the patient and eliminates any liability of the manufacturer.
All parts of the venous tourniquet are recommended to be cleaned and disinfected after used on
the patient's skin to reduce the risk of cross-infection.
Cleaning (manual): The venous tourniquet can be cleaned with a soft, moist, lint-free cloth.
All visible dirt should be removed. Do not use aggressive cleaners.
Disinfection (manual): Disinfect using a soft cloth moistened with alcohol (by wiping). Do
not use aggressive disinfectants.
