Move the sensor so that you can determine the
maximum field strength of the source of interfer-
ence.
Magnetic fields are produced wherever electrical
currents flow e.g. near cables in electrical installa-
tion in houses, in televisions and computer moni-
tors, electric motors, chokes for fluorescent lights
and transformers.
In respect of the effect of the human body on the
precision of the measurement—although not as
serious as for E-field measurements—the informa-
tion in 5.2.1 applies. The procedure given there is
only necessary for very precise measurements with
maximum resolution.
In respect of the measuring range change, auto-
matic measuring range change and overrange,
the instructions as per 5.2.1. apply, however here
three measuring ranges with the maximum meas-
ured values of 2 µT, 20 µT and 200 µT are availa-
ble.
