5.2.3. Special aspects of E/H-field measure-
ments
5.2.3.1. Semi-automatic measuring range selec-
tion
If the maximum value for the measuring range is
exceeded, the device automatically switches to the
next highest range.
If the measured value drops again, for clarity the
device remains in the current measuring range.
For reasons of precision the lowest possible meas-
uring range should always be used. If necessary,
change ranges manually using the "E/H" button.
5.2.3.2. Differentiating between high frequency

and low frequency fields

After the device is switched on the letters "Lin" ap-
pear on the display for a short time. This is the de-
fault setting for the frequency range and signifies
that the device measures over its entire nominal
frequency range.
However, if you want to search for high or low fre-
quency signals, it is possible to select the range
required by pressing the "HI/LO" button.
Depending on the change in range selected, either
"HI", "Lo" or "Lin" appears on the display:
