medi Epibrace
Intended purpose
medi Epibrace is an epicondylitis brace for
stress relief on the muscle origins.
Indications
All indications where it is necessary to relieve
muscle origins at the ulnar and / or radial
epicondyle, such as:
Epicondylitis (e.g. tennis or golfer's elbow)
Contraindications
Impingement syndrome (pressure irritation of
the nerves supplying the arm)
Risks / Side Effects
If the aids are too tight, this can cause pressure
sores or constriction of blood vessels or nerves.
Consult your doctor before using this device if
you have the following conditions:
• A condition affecting the application area
• Paraesthesia, circulatory disorders
• Lymph drainage disorders
Tightly fitting aids can cause skin irritation
(pressure, sweat, material).
Intended patient groups
Healthcare professionals should provide care to
the adults and children, applying the available
information on the measurements/sizes and
necessary functions/indications and in line
with the information provided by the
manufacturer, and acting under their own
responsibility.
Note on wearing
During longer periods of rest (e.g. when
sleeping) you should take the medi Epibrace off.
Applying the strap
• Open the strap on the brace and lie it down,
fully unrolling it, in front of you. Position your
forearm on the brace with your palm facing
upwards so that the light grey positioning
mark on the pad is positioned on the side that
you feel pain. Then attach the pad to the
positioning mark so that the tip of the pad is
parallel to the elbow joint (Fig. 1). Example: If
you have tennis elbow (Epicondylitis humeri
radialis) in your right arm, the positioning
