Important
Observe the maximum permissible roof load for
your vehicle (see vehicle Operator's Manual).
Notes
These installation instructions depict the basic carrier
bars being mounted on the CLS-Class (model series
C 219). To mount the basic carrier bars on vehicles of
the S-Class (model series W/V 221), the R-Class
(model series 251) and the C-Class (model series
W 204), follow the same procedures.
Please contact a qualified specialist workshop if you
encounter difficulties when mounting the basic carrier
bars. Mercedes-Benz recommends that you use a
Mercedes-Benz Service Center for this purpose.

Each individual step of the installation instructions, the
warning notices, the general safety precautions and
the notes must be followed exactly. If the basic
carrier bars are not mounted correctly, they and the
load could become detached from your vehicle and
thus injure you and others and/or cause damage to
property, including damage to your vehicle. Do not use
accessory products which have not been approved for
use on Mercedes-Benz vehicles in conjunction with
the basic carrier bars. The use of non-approved
accessory products could result in the accessory
products and/or the items they are transporting to
become detached from the vehicle, possibly injuring
you and others and/or causing damage to property,
including damage to your vehicle.
