• This appliance should not be operated by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities, or persons that have a lack of experience and knowledge.
• This appliance should, under any circumstances, not be used by children.
• Keep the appliance and its power cord out of reach of children.
• WARNING: ALWAYS switch off the appliance and unplug from power socket before
cleaning, maintenance or storage.

Special Safety Regulations

• CAUTION! Make sure the power cord does not come into contact with hot components
while using the appliances.
• Use the appliance only as described in this manual.
• This appliance should be operated by trained personnel in kitchen of the restaurant,
canteens or bar staff, etc.
Caution! Danger of burns! The temperature of the heating surface and other acces-

sible surface is very high during use. Touch the control panel only.
Caution! This appliance will emit non-ionizing electromagnetic radiation.

• Do not place the appliance near the objects and appliances that may be affected by the
magnetic field like TV, radios, bank cards, credit cards, etc.
• WARNING: Keep all ventilation openings in the appliance clear of obstruction.
• WARNING: If the heating surface is cracked or damaged, switch off the appliance to avoid
the possibility of electric shock.

• Maintain a minimum clearance of 15 cm around the appliance for ventilation.
• Metallic objects such as knives, forks, spoons and lids should not be placed on the appli-
ance cooking surface since they can get hot.
• Do not use the appliance near explosive or flammable materials, credit cards, magnetic
discs or radios.
• Take care when operating the appliance, as rings, watches and similar objects worn by
the user could get hot when in close proximity to the cooking surface.
• Never switch on the appliance without the wok on top of it, as this may result serious
damage to the appliance.
• Make sure the appliance is not placed near the water vapour or greasy vapours. The fan
of the appliance will take in these vapours and this will cause grease or moisture to ac-
cumulate in the appliance which may result in a short circuit in the appliance.
• Warning! If the cooking surface is cracked, switch off the appliance to avoid the possibil-
ity of electric shock.
• In combination with a pot filled with liquids, this appliance generates heat and steam
during use. Proper precautions must be taken to prevent the risk of burns, fires, or injury
to persons and damage to property.
• Only use the wok (Hendi item no. 239773, not included) for this appliance.
• Do not cook on a damaged cooking plate. Spill overs may penetrate the broken cooking
plate and create a risk of electric shock.
• Do not use hard utensils to hit the heating plate surface. Do not use water jet, flush di-
