Important Information
The COMfortel WS-400 IP is an IP-DECT Singlecell Server
designed to set up an IP-DECT Wireless System in enclosed
buildings. The device can be upgraded to an IP DECT Multicell
server by a software activation (fee required). The Comfortel WS-
400 IP Multi, available in the past, is functionally identical to the
COMfortel WS-400 IP with Multicell upgrade.
Components for Singlecell operation:
IP DECT Singelcell server COMfortel WS-400 IP (the
DECT Base is already included in the server)
COMfortel DECT handsets
Components for Multicell operation:
IP DECT Multicell server COMfortel WS-400 IP
Up to three DECT-Bases COMfortel WS-Base (one
DECT-Base is already included in the server)
If required, Repeater COMfortel WS-R2/R4 to increase
range
COMfortel DECT handsets
The COMfortel WS-400 IP manages all the DECT system's com-
ponents and the IP interface to the PBX.
To run the COMfortel WS-400 IP, you need a SIP-capable PBX,
e.g.:
COMpact 4000
COMpact 5000/R
COMpact 5020 VoIP
COMmander 6000/R/RX
The COMfortel WS-400 IP is designed to be used in closed, dry
rooms.
To configure the wireless system via the Configuration Manager
you must use a PC which is running in the same network (sub-
net).
Important: Some of the functions require activation in the
Upgrade Center or a hardware upgrade.
Note: You can obtain accessory components and service com-
ponents either from specialist retailers or from distriCOM's Inter-
net shop (see www.districom.de). Delivery is provided only in
Germany and for specialised dealers also to Austria.
