11.1. More air in high setting (AC fan)
The condenser module used has been designed to allow
selection of two ventilation levels with the highest fan
setting: "High" and "Maximum", if a greater ventilation
capacity is required of the unit (e.g. if the ducting has a
higher resistance), then maximum power can be gener-
ated very easily. As standard, the unit is set to "Low",
"Medium" and "High". The modifi cation is carried out as
follows:
Switch off the unit using the operating switch.
Dismantling:
Unscrew the M5 hex bolt (pos. 1) and remove the air
cap and cover from the fan.
• Remove the cap from the condenser module.
• Turn the condenser module to allow access to the
connector.
• Remove the wire (grey) from connector "L1" and
insert it into connector "U1", (see diagram fi g. 5).
Assembly:
Ensure that parts under the cover are correctly assem-
bled and do not extend above the rim. Replace the cover
and the air cap and retighten the M5 hex bolt (pos. 1).
• turn the fan back on using the operating switch and
check whether it works properly.
12. Operation
A number of important conditions must be met to
ensure the fan functions properly:
• Ensure a suffi cient supply of air. For example, open a
small window or a ventilation grille above a window.
• If the dwelling is fi tted with non-lockable ventilation
openings, such as air grilles above the windows,
then leave these open. Do not cover or block them.
• If a non-powered extractor hood is installed above
the cooker, then the fan can be operated with the
switch on the extractor hood itself. This allows the
system to be switched to the high (cooking), medium
or low setting.
• When a non-powered extractor hood is not fi tted, a
3-position switch can be fi tted to the kitchen wall in
order to switch the fan between the three different
settings.
Do not connect a motorised extractor hood to
the system.
For an optimum indoor climate, please ensure the
following:
• The high setting is engaged when cooking or using
the bathroom or toilet;
• The medium setting is used for normal use, when
there are one or more people in the dwelling;
• The lowest setting is for night-time and periods of
absence.
13. User maintenance
The user should ensure that the fan is checked every
three years by the fi tter and cleaned when necessary.
Cleaning ventilation valves
Clean the ventilation valves with soap and water. For
this purpose, remove the valves from the duct system.
Do not mix the valves and do not alter any
settings.
14. Maintenance by the fi tter
Maintenance should be carried out when the motor is
electrically isolated and the plug disconnected.

Cleaning fan
Dismantle the cover and the fan according to the
procedures given below. Clean the fan with soap and
water.
Prevent water or soap getting into the motor.
Prevent imbalance; remove the grime.
Cover (pos. 2)
The identifi cation plate, the fan and the motor control
unit are located below the cover.
Dismantling:
Unscrew the M5 hex bolt (pos. 1) and remove the air
cap and cover from the fan.
Assembly:
Ensure that parts under the cover are correctly as-
sembled and do not extend above the rim. Replace the
cover and the air cap and retighten the M5 hex bolt
(pos. 1).
Check that the cover is properly secured.
