1. Foreword
This manual is designed for users and fi tters of the
mechanical ventilation system of fan type:
RPM – fan with connection pipe
(AC)
RPMe – fan with connection pipe (DC)
KPM – fan with short connection pipe
(AC)
KPMe – fan with short connection pipe
(DC)
VPM – fan with base (AC)
VPMe – fan with base (DC)
Please read these instructions carefully.
This manual contains all information required for safe
and optimal installation. It is also intended as a refer-
ence document to enable service and maintenance
work to be carried out properly.
The device is subject to continuous development and
improvement. It is therefore possible that the device
differs slightly from the descriptions given.
N.B.: This manual has been compiled with the greatest
care. However, no rights may be derived from this pub-
lication. J.E. StorkAir also retains all rights to change
the contents of this manual without prior notifi cation.
The identifi cation plate is mounted on top of the motor
plate (under the removable lid).

2. Guarantee and liability

2.1 General

The sales and warranty conditions for companies in the
metal, plastic and technology industries, which apply
to the fan, have been deposited with the Clerk of the
District Courts of the Hague on 19th October 1998,
under number 119/1998.

2.2 Guarantee conditions

The fan is covered by a manufacturer's warranty for
a period of 24 months after fi tting up to a maximum
of 30 months after the date of manufacture. Warranty
claims may only be submitted for material faults and/or
construction faults arising during the warranty period.
In the case of a guarantee claim, the fan must not be

dismantled without written permission from the manu-
facturer. Spare parts are only covered by the warranty,
if they were supplied by the manufacturer and have
been installed by an approved fi tter.
The warranty becomes invalid if:
• the installation has not been carried out according to
the applicable regulations;
• parts are used which were not supplied by the
manufacturer.
• the defects are due to incorrect connection, inexpert
use or soiling of the fan;
• unauthorised person or persons have either altered
the wiring or made repairs;
• unauthorised alterations and/or modifi cations have
been made to the unit;
• the guarantee period has elapsed.
• the instructions in this manual were not followed;
• On-site dismantling and assembly costs are not cov-
ered by the terms of the warranty If a defect occurs
during the warranty period, please notify the fi tter.
• If the fan's components or procedures are applied in
a way not described in this manual, or if alterations
to the fan are made without our permission, then the
CE marking becomes invalid.
• J.E. StorkAir retains the right to change the
construction and/or confi guration of its products at
any time without being obliged to alter previously
delivered products. The details given in this manual
refer to the latest information. They may be changed
at a later date without prior warning.
