Application/Adjustment

Selecting a Size
Measure the foot size of the patient
and select a matching size according to
the size chart. Depending on the ratio
of the size of the foot to the size of the
orthosis and the shoes of the user it may
be necessary to modify the edge of the
orthosis' sole. Smoothen the edge after
you have modified the shape.
Fitting the Orthosis
Hold the orthosis against the patient's
foot and calf in the correct position.
Check the shape and size of the ortho-
sis' sole. Modify the edge of the sole if
necessary, or switch to a larger orthosis
if the toes or the sole of the user's foot
overlap. Check the fit of the calf strap
and of the closed hook-and-loop closure
in the lower calf area. A hot air gun can
be used to thermoform the orthosis in
order to individually adjust it or to remove
pressure spots. If you modify the sole of
the orthosis with pads or arch supports,
the contact areas should be lightly abra-
ded before applying any glue.

Comfort/Hygiene

Do not wear the orthosis directly on
the skin, but instead over thin clothing
(e.g. a sock of appropriate length).

Foam Pads:
100% coated polyetherurethane
foam.
Product Care/Cleaning/
Maintenance
Wipe solid parts of the orthosis with a
wet cloth to clean.
Hand wash only.
Do not bleach.
Do not tumble dry.
Do not iron.
Do not dry-clean.
