 Optional Handshake for the use with servo guns
For this function the serial input "valid spot selection" and the serial output "spot
selection data valid" is used. The robot activates after the settling of the correct
spot number the timer input "valid spot selection". The timer will select the
corresponding values for the prop valve, sheet thickness and sheet thickness
tolerance and will activate the output "spot selection data valid".
In the next step the robot will clear the timer input "valid spot selection" and also
the timer will clear the timer output "spot selection data valid".
Caution
Nevertheless after every change of the spot selection the timer will immediately
change the prop valve outputs to the corresponding value.
 Program start:
The actual program start is initiated by the input "Start" of the robot. At the end
of the schedule, the timer will either set the "Weld complete" output, if the
schedule was o.k., or the "Welding fault" output will be set if the schedule was
not o.k., or the "Timer ready" output will be reset if a general fault was present.
When the robot resets the "Start" input, the timer will reset the "Weld complete"
output. The fault has to be corrected and reset in the event of an incorrect
schedule.
 Prewarning overstep
The spots until prewarning for electrode change can programmed overstep the
last dressing step.
 Protocol entry when changing tips:
When the timer receives a Tip Change command, there will be a entry in the
data change protocol with the actual counter values.
 Sheet thickness management
For each weld program parameters for the "sheet thickness" and "sheet
thickness tolerance" can be stored in the timer. The outputs "sheet thickness x"
and "sheet thickness tolerance" are set at every program selection.
 Q-Stop
This output is set to 1 simultaneously with the output "Welding fault" if a Q-Stop-
error occurs. It is reset to 0 as soon as the fault will be reset.
 %I Prewarning:
Phase value monitoring is carried out after each welding schedule. The mean
phase value is compared to electrode parameters
- % limitation
- %I prewarning
- lower %I prewarning.
If one of the limits is exceeded, a warning is output. This warning will remain
active until the next tip dressing / tip change cycle or until the actual %I values
are reset at the user interface.
 In Stop tip dress or Tip life expired, only a program without Weld on (internal or
external) can be run.
