6 MAINTENANCE

Before performing any kind of maintenance, read the instructions in this manual carefully. Only
trained, qualified personnel should be permitted to perform maintenance of this machine.
Any non-compliance with the following safety instructions can cause serious danger to people
and/or severe damage to the machine.
Any maintenance and/or repairs must only be carried out after positioning the
switch on zero, unplugging the machine from the electrical power supply and
with the heating elements at room temperature.
After switching off the machine, wait two hours to allow the platens to cool
before intervention.
After performing the maintenance work and/or repairs, before using the machine again, ensure
all replaced parts and tools are removed from the machine. Check that all the graphic signs and
safety signs are put back in place and legible.

Procedure/Corrective actions
Check the plug and cord are intact each time before
use.
If the cord or plug are not suitable, do no proceed to
switch on and contact the retailer.
Check the rubber is intact that protects the lower
platen each time before use.
In case of wear, do not proceed to switch on and
contact the retailer.
Check the Teflon protection is intact that isolates
the upper platen each time before use.
In case of wear, do not proceed to switch on and
contact the retailer.
Lubricate with oil suitable for the materials to use.
If the handle is worn, contact the retailer.
Proceed to remove dust and dirt from the control
panel and from the upper plate using a cloth soaked
in water.
