3.3 Safety Measures, Symbols and Warning Mechanisms of the Machine

Hazardous parts of the machine are protected within the limits imposed by the needs of use.
The electrical parts are protected to avoid direct contact, as they are enclosed inside the
machine body and control panel. The wires are equipped with suitable insulation.

The electrical masses of the machine are connected to the protection wire (yellow-green wire)
to protect against indirect contact.
The heating element of the upper platen is completely enclosed and tucked inside its housing
that makes it impossible to reach. Please be aware, however, that the temperature inevitably
transmits to the top of the housing and not just the intended lower platen on which the fabric
is placed. Since machine functionality requires the work zone between the platens to remain
accessible, there is a residual risk of contact with very hot parts.

The caution and danger symbols shown above indicate the presence of residual hazards which,
due to the type of machine, were not possible to eliminate.
PPE: personal protective equipment
During use and maintenance of the machine, heat-resistant gloves must be worn to avoid burns
caused by accidental contact with the heating platen. The parts of the machine with risks of
burns are:
• lower stand, upper heating platen, protective screen on the upper heating plating, fastening
elements of the upper heating platen (screws and springs)
