The fixed base platen, on the side where the fabric is positioned, is covered in silicone rubber

for high temperatures, while the heated platen has a protective film, so the fabric never comes
in contact with the metal elements. The heat transfer material is applied to the fabric by
positioning them between the base platen and the heated platen by effect of the temperature
and closure pressure exerted using the handle.

2.3 Interchangeable Platens

The TS-One heat press can be equipped with different platens and accessories:
flat surfaced platens of different dimensions intended for transfer on flat surfaces
(e.g. t-shirts) and curved platens for example on caps and heels of shoes.

The large platen (38x50 cm) is equipped with a 2kW heating coil, while the small, flat platens (15x15
cm) and curved platens (caps and "Achille" shoes heels) are equipped with two, 250 Watt spark plugs.
