Safety Instructions

• Before use, check the components of the positioning seat for proper function and
condition.
• Only use the seat in a forward facing and upright position.
• Never leave the user of the seat unattended in the vehicle.
• Do not leave loose objects in the vehicle; in the event of sudden braking, loose
objects can cause serious injury.
• If the positioning seat is used on a front seat with an airbag, the airbag must be
deactivated.
• Position the seat in the vehicle so that it cannot be trapped by a door or other
movable vehicle seats.
• ALWAYS secure the user and the positioning seat with the 3-point safety belt lo-
cated in the vehicle. This must be approved in accordance with UN-ECE Regula-
tion No 16 or another comparable standard.
• The 5-point positioning belt integrated in the positioning seat is NOT safety rele-
vant, but it does provide additional support for the user. A wide range of accesso-
ries allows Hercules XL to be customised to the user's needs.
• Adjust the straps of the seat so that they fit closely to the user, but do not press.
Make sure that the straps do not sag or twist.
• Never use the seat's straps to lift or carry the seat.
• Before each journey, check that the Hercules XL is securely attached.
• Even when the positioning seat is not in use, it must be properly secured with the
vehicle's own 3-point safety belt. In the event of an accident, an unsecured seat
can cause serious injury to the vehicle occupants.
• Cover the Hercules XL when parking the vehicle in direct sunlight. Otherwise the
upholstery may heat up and cause burns.
• Store the positioning seat in a safe place when not in use. Do not place heavy
objects on the seat.
• Never let children play with the Hercules XL.
