m
Danger to life due to electric shock
An electric shock can result in death or serious injury.
Ensure that the unit is voltage-free and isolated from the mains power supply. Ground and short circuit the unit, shield
neighbouring live components.
m
Risk due to electric shock, moving parts (fan) and hot surfaces!
1. Open the terminal box cover.
2. Loosen the marked grommet and insert the cables (see Fig.22).
3. Connect the controller cable to the marked terminals in the terminal box (Fig.23) (see wiring diagram).
4. Connect the other end of the HMI cable to the display (see wiring diagram).

234 Modbus/Bacnet
AIR1 XH units have a rs485 connection and Ethernet connection. The rs485 connection is used for the internal com-
munication of the pressure sensors. The Ethernet connection can be used for the communication with building control
systems.
– ModBus TCP
– Bacnet IP
235 Connection of optional air quality sensors
The following air quality sensors can be connected for sensor-controlled operation:
AIR1/KWL-VOC 0-10V
AIR1/KWL-CO2 0-10V
AIR1/KWL-FTF 0-10V
AIR1-CO2 K
Connection of air quality sensors:
The power supply (24 V DC) must be connected according to the wiring diagram (see wiring diagram).
The signal cables are connected according to the wiring diagram via the analogue inputs AI2, AI3 and AI4.
Connection information:
• If a room temperature sensor is connected to analogue input AI2, only analogue inputs AI3 and AI4 are available for
air quality sensors.
• Up to 3 different or same types of sensors can be connected to a ventilation unit with 3 free analogue inputs. The
highest ventilation requirement has priority.
• If more than 3 sensors are connected, the signal converter AIR1-SK with 6 analogue inputs and one analogue out-
put is available. Only the same type of sensor can be connected to a signal converter.
An output of 56,7 W or 88,1 W is available for the connection of air quality sensors. However, this decreases depending
on additionally connected accessories.
Thus, the available 24 V power supply must be considered for the connection of sensors based on the table.
