Security Note SAR

Radios generate heat in transmission and reception mode in relation to the tx-power.
The IP-DA32 PMR has a maximum tx-power of 500 mW. The SAR value - the mea-
surement of the specific absorbation rate of electromagnetic fields in a material - ,
does not exceed 2 W/kg, the upper limit, as suggested by the World Health Organi-
zation WHO. The dPMR-446 version can be used by humans off all age groups wit-
hout any security restrictions or special training.
The commercial version with a maximum tx-power of 4 W cannot be operated by chil-
dren and teenagers due to a higher SAR value. Adults need to be informed about
the potential health risk of frequent transmission with a high tx-power, and have to
get proper instructions about how to operate the radio.

Disposal

This symbol on the productmeans that used electrical and electronic pro-
ducts should not be mixed with general household waste. For proper treat-
ment, recovery and recycling, please take this product to designated
collection points where it will be accepted free of charge.
Disposing of this product correctly will help save valuable resources and prevent any
potential negative effects on human health and the environment, which could otherwise
arise from inappropriate waste handling.
Please contact your local authority for further details of your nearest designated col-
lection point. Penalties may be applicable for incorrect disposal of this waste, in accor-
dance with you national legislation.
These symbols on battery packs mean:
Pb = contains more than 0.004 weight percent of lead
Cd = contains more than 0.002 weight percent of cadmium
Hg = contains more than 0.0005 weight percent of mercury
You can also send the radio and the battery pack to our warehouse. Postal fees must
be payed by the shipper.

Note:
All settings can be programmed with the optional software T-UP33.
The functions Monitor (SK1; top) and Scan (SK2; bottom) are assigned to the short-
press-state of the multi-function-keys SK1/ SK2 (9). The orange key TK1 is programmed
with the function Area Switch, which allows to toggle between the channel groups 1/2.
To activated/deactivate them, press the keys shortly.
