Features
A second independent prewarning output can be set, to show, that the electrode
may be changed.
A second independent tip dress request output can be set, to show, that the
electrode may be dressed.
The spots until prewarning for electrode change can programmed overstep the
last dressing step.
7.1.4

Dressing tool change

The timer has additional counters that count each tip dress performed on each
electrode. If a counter exceeds a programmed prewarning value, the „Prewarning
dressing tool" output will be set. When the programmed maximum value is
reached, the „End of stepper dressing tool" output will be set.
The function is switched off if the value „0" is specified as maximum value.
Using the "Acknowledge, tip dressers changed" input, the dresser counts can be
reset. In order to enable the robot to safely verify that receipt of these
acknowledgments has been safely detected, this input is looped through again to
the "Acknowledge, tip dressers changed" output.
Using the "End of stepper" output, a group message is output for all tip dresser
blades if a program has been selected to which electrode 0 has been assigned.
A separate log is maintained for tip dresser blade changes.
7.1.5

Tip dress acknowledgement

With the tip dress acknowledgement, the discrete inputs "Tip Dresser X running"
are checked. The appropriate counter will be incremented.
If no tip dresser is selcted via the inputs "Tip Dresser X running" at this moment,
the counter of the tip dresser selected via "Tip Dresser X running" at the latest
start of a tip dressing programm will be incremented.
7.1.6

Vehicle Ident Number

This number is added to the data of the welding log in order to allow for a
subsequent allocation of the information to a specific spot on a specific car body.
The inputs will be interpreted as 8-bit ASCII characters. The ASCII_0 character
corresponds to the first character of the name.
7.1.7

Gun force selection

The absolute value output here corresponds to the value stored in the timer. The
range of values is specified externally.
7.1.8

Integrated dressing tool control

This timer is capable of controlling 3 dressing tools (not at the same time!). The
„Temperature contact" and „Motor protection trip" inputs are used for all dressing
tools.
The number of dressing tool revolutions is derived from the parameters of the
electrode number which has been assigned to the currently activated program, no
matter which dressing tool is started.
