Preparation
PLEASE NOTE!
• Do not operate the device without water or with less water than is required to reach the 2
Cups mark. If this does happen, the device switches off automatically. In this case, allow the
device to cool down before water is poured in and the device is used again.
• Never use the device without the glass jug below the coffee outlet.
Making Coffee with Coffee Beans
1. Fill the water tank (5) (see the "Handling and Operation" chapter – "Filling the Water Tank").
2. Fill the coffee bean compartment (2) (see the "Handling and Operation" chapter – "Adding
Coffee Beans").
3. Set the grinding fi neness you want (see the "Handling and Operation" chapter – "Setting the
Grinding Fineness").
4. Open the fi lter compartment (12) .
5. Insert a fi lter (see the "Handling and Operation" chapter – "Inserting the Filter").
6. Close the fi lter compartment.
7. Use the dial (17) to set the number of cups you want (see the "Handling and Operation"
chapter – "Setting the Number of Cups").
8. If you want, switch on the "added fl avour" function with the
the "Handling and Operation" chapter – "Added Flavour" Function).
9. Press the ON / OFF button (19) to switch on the grinder and start the brewing process. The
operating lamp in the ON / OFF button and the control lamp in the dial
ground coffee is transported through the grinder shaft into the fi lter compartment and then
hot water is poured over it to brew it.
To end the brewing process prematurely, press the ON / OFF button. The operating lamp
in the ON / OFF button is lit constantly, the control lamp in the dial
device is switched off.

Making Coffee with Coffee Powder
1. Fill the water tank (5) (see the "Handling and Operation" chapter – "Filling the Water Tank").
2. Open the fi lter compartment (12) .
3. Insert a fi lter (see the "Handling and Operation" chapter – "Inserting the Filter").
4. Add the quantity of coffee powder you want to the fi lter using the measuring spoon which
is supplied with the device or another suitable spoon. We recommend one level spoonful for
each 125 ml cup.
