Precautions
• Under no circumstances should you change the dosage of the medication that your doctor has
prescribed for you. Consult your doctor if you have any questions about your blood pressure.
• Wait 30 to 45 minutes before measuring if you have recently consumed a drink containing caffeine
or have smoked a cigarette.
SN
• Relax for at least 5 to 10 minutes before each measurement.
• If you experience any discomfort during measurement, such as pain in the arm or other complaints,
press the ‚START' button to deflate the cuff. Release the cuff and remove it from your arm.
• Measurements taken too frequently or consecutively can lead to disturbances in the blood circula-
tion and injury.
• Avoid any kinking, crushing or constricting of the connecting tube of the cuff during use, as this
could lead to a continuous increase in the cuff pressure, resulting in interruption of the blood flow
and causing injury to the patient.
• Please use the device under the environmental conditions described in the instructions. Otherwise
the performance and service life of the blood pressure monitor will be adversely affected.
• Please only use accessories that have been approved by the manufacturer. Otherwise, damage
may be caused to the device, the user may suffer injury, or inaccurate measurements may occur.
• In order to avoid inaccurate measurements, do not expose the blood pressure monitor to strong
electromagnetic fields, interference signals or electrical fast-transient/burst signals.
• In the event of an unexpected error message or problems with the product, please contact your
retailer or Geratherm Medical AG.
• Please notify Geratherm Medical AG of any unexpected occurrences or incidents.
• The connector pins on the plug/adaptor insulate the device from the power supply. Do not place the
device in a position that makes it difficult to disconnect it from the power supply in order to safely
stop the operation of the device.
• The operator of the device must not touch the display unit, the battery/adaptor and the patient at
the same time.
• Take care to avoid strangulation by cables and hoses, especially due to excess length.
• The materials used in the cuff have been tested and have been found to comply with the require-
ments of the standards ISO 10993-5:2009 and ISO 10993-10:2010. The fabrics used will not cause
any potential irritation or allergic reaction.
