At least 3 cm of the mixed material must be discarded each
time the plunger is restarted or when using the cartridge in
different mixing units.
Load the impression tray (or application syringe) with the re-
quired amount of material (Figure 9, Page 121) by pressing the
appropriate feed key. Hold the impression at an angle when
loading and press against it lightly. Leave the mixer in the ma-
terial when dispensing to avoid air bubbles.
Release the feed key as soon as the required amount of ma-
terial has been dispensed. The filled dynamic mixer should re-
main on the cartridge as a seal.
Remove the used mixer before the next application by turning
it to the left (Figure 10, Page 121), visually check the outlet
opening for blockage and attach a new dynamic mixer (Fig-
ure 10, Page 121).
Remove the completely empty jumbo cartridge from the dis-
pensing and mixing unit and dispose of it according to re-
gional regulations.

Wind a new dynamic mixer onto the same mixing unit and
begin the new application (material no longer has to be
discarded).

Insert the cartridge into the Applyfix
1:1/2:1. Ensure that the notches on the cartridge base are
pointing down. The clasp will not close if the cartridge is not
properly inserted into the dispensing gun.
Remove the cartridge cap. The cap can be replaced after initial
use.
Advance plunger into cartridge and dispense a small amount
of impression material until equal amounts are extruded at
the same rate.
Install a mixing tip on the cartridge and turn cap 90 degrees
in a clockwise direction to lock in place.
Either dispense the necessary amount of impression material
directly into the impression tray, on to the preliminary impres-
sion or into an impression syringe. Use the cartridge with the
mixer attached and intraoral tip or the impression syringe to
apply the material around the prepared teeth.
Replace the plug after use. Before using the cartridge again,
remove the cartridge cap or the filled mixing tip and check
the cartridge outlet openings to ensure that no polymer-
ized materials have sealed the openings. Clear any clogged
openings and dispense a small amount of impression material
until equal amounts are extruded at the same rate.
Install a new mixing tip and continue as described.
