Prior to first use please unscrew the blue plug counter-clock-
wise and pull it out (Figure 1, Page 120). Check the outlet
opening. Then screw on the dynamic mixer (Figure 2, Page
120). Ensure that the positioning aid is on the top.
Please use only the dispensing and mixing components
compatible with the Kettenbach 380 ml cartridge system for
dispensing and mixing impression material.
The Kettenbach 380 ml cartridge is heavy and could be dam-
aged if dropped. Damaged cartridges must not be used un-
der any circumstances.
When using the material in a Sympress II dispensing device,
please activate the speed setting indicated on the product label
(Figure 6, Page 121). Failure to comply with this instruction
may modify the curing characteristics of the impression ma-
terials.
If you are using a unit other than the Sympress mixing device,
please follow the instructions for the automatic dispensing and
mixing system you are using.
When changing to a different mixing device, always discard at
least 3 cm of mixed material.

Using the Kettenbach Plug & Press

Device Sympress / Sympress II
By pressing the plunger return knob, allow the plunger to re-
turn to its original position automatically (while the cover is
closed; Figure 3, Page 120). Next, open the cover (Figure 4,
Page 120).
Insert the Kettenbach 380 ml cartridge with the pre-assem-
bled mixer in the Sympress / Sympress II dispensing and mix-
ing unit (Figure 5, Page 121). If you are working with a pre-
viously used cartridge, the filled mixer will already be located
on the cartridge as a cap.
If you are using a Sympress II dispensing device, please acti-
vate the speed setting indicated on the product label. A light
signal will confirm your selection (Figure 6, Page 121).
Close the device cover (Figure 7, Page 121).
Using the Cartridge for the First Time
Dispense the impression material (ensure that the dynamic
mixer is wound into place fully) until the base material and
catalyst are mixed homogeneously (see coloring of the mixed
impression material); discard at least the first 3 cm when dis-
pensing (Figure 8, Page 121).
