Overview
IPE 030 - 033 CN 05
The string box enables connection of solar generator strings to a DC bus line that
can be connected directly to the inverter. The string box has protection rating IP65
and can therefore be installed near the solar generator. If possible, place the string
box in a dry, roofed installation area. The string box is available different versions
according to function.

x Touching live parts can result in death.
x All electrical work must be carried out by a qualified electrician while observing
the VDE regulations, national and other regulations.
x Note the AC terminal assignment. An incorrect assignment can result in the unit
being destroyed.
x No consumers may be connected to the supply line from the Schüco inverter to
the mains fuse.
x Always disconnect the mains connection first by switching off the corresponding
mains fuse and before disconnecting the solar generator side by opening the DC
load break switch.
NOTE
If the voltage on the AC connection exceeds the permissible value due to a long line
length or an insufficient cable cross-section, the Schüco inverter will be disconnec-
ted from the grid. In power grids with a low capacity and a high solar generator out-
put, this can lead to individual Schüco inverters being switched off and then on again
several times.
An AC terminal strip on the underside of the unit is used for the five-wire grid con-
nection (L1, L2, L3, N, PE) of the Schüco inverter. Feeding is always three-phase via
the AC terminal.
